The Château de Ferrières

This tasting contest, allying œnology and gastronomy, would not have been possible without the strong support of the École Ferrières, which welcomes us in its magnificent castle for the contest, lunch and afternoon activities.

To get a glimpse of the beauty of the place, here is a beauty scene of the Château de Ferrières:

The Château de Ferrières

A grandiose and avant-garde site, surrounded by a 130-hectare English park, it is above all a place full of history, built since 1829 by Joseph Paxton for the Baron de Rothschild and inaugurated by Napoleon II in 1862.

Transformed into a school recently (the first promotion made its comeback in September 2015); accompanied by leading hospitality, gastronomy, luxury and higher education experts, Ferrières aims to become the international and emblematic reference school for Excellence à la française.

The founding values of the Ferrières School : excellence, tradition, openness and innovation , perfectly reflect the spirit in which this competition was built. During this day, you will have the pleasure of getting to know several parts of this exceptional castle.

The Salon of Honor

The qualifications and the final take place in the Salon of Honor.

The park

For a cocktail or a tour of the freshly planted vines.

The Blue Salon

After the competition, participants are invited to lunch in the Salon Bleu with a magnifiscient view on the park.

The Paxton Resort & Spa Hotel

Located just a few hundred meters from the Château de Ferrières, the Paxton Resort & Spa, a 4 * hotel with 232 rooms, is the privileged partner of the École Ferrières. It is in this context that students will practice, under the guidance of experienced professionals, the operational functions of the hotel business. Beginning with the second edition, each team has had the privilege of staying in a Duplex room at the Paxton Resort & Spa, with access to the swimming pool of 60m2 and the solarium. Undoubtedly this will favor the rest of the candidates before the contest!
